ON THE SURFACE
The performance of a functional surface in a critical contact area is directly connected to surface finish and part-on-part interaction.
To help further understand the effects of ASF, we can assist in designed experiments to prove the viability of your specific application.

The Process
ASF is a highly controlled vibratory mass finishing operation that produces finishes otherwise unattainable in the industry.
The multi-directional finish that is applied by the vibratory process is a major key that no other finishing process can replicate
Results
- Friction Reduction
- Lower Operational Noise
- Increase Part Life
- Eliminate Break-In Periods
- Reduce Operating Temperatures
- Increase Part Efficiency
- Eliminate Handwork
- Process Automation
Before vs. After
Because our process uses no abrasive material, we are able to reduce surface roughness to single digit microinch readings without heavy metal removal or heavy radiusing. ASF only works the asperities on the part surface, resulting in an ultra smooth part while retaining micro-valleys for lubricant retention.
